About me

Hello! If you are here, you’re likely curious to learn more about me as a person, beyond the portfolio ☺️. This is an extra section where I’d like to share a bit about my world. I come from Venezuela 🇻🇪, specifically from Maracay. Education runs deep in my family, with many relatives involved in the educational sector or pursuing independent projects in that field. I’m proud to be the 3rd generation in my family to attend university and the 3rd generation to earn a Ph.D. 🚨 We firmly believe that education is a life-changer, and my journey certainly attests to that. My path in physics has taken me on an incredible adventure, from leaving my home at 17 to study in Caracas, pursuing my master’s degree in France 🇫🇷, learning English in the USA 🇺🇸, and completing my Ph.D. in Brazil 🇧🇷 and Portugal 🇵🇹. Over the course of 14 years, I’ve immersed myself in various aspects of high-energy physics, from phenomenology to experimental and theoretical particle physics. More recently, I have been working and learning about Big Data, which remains one of the key tools that make groundbreaking experiments—like those conducted at CERN—possible too.

What has truly made this journey remarkable, however, are the incredible people I’ve met along the way ❤️. These connections have endured the test of time, and I hold them close to my heart. Science, after all, is not just about discovery—it’s about the people you meet and the shared pursuit of knowledge that brings us together.

I consider myself a global citizen, having experienced diverse cultures and languages throughout my academic adventure. Beyond my passion for physics, I’m equally enthusiastic about exploring the world. Whether it’s trying out new restaurants, embarking on nature hikes, or admiring city skylines, I find joy in each moment. Our world is a precious place, and I’m a firm believer in respecting and protecting it. I place great value on fostering kindness and empathy towards others. It’s these principles that guide my life and work, shaping the way I approach both my scientific pursuits and my interactions with the people I encounter. Life is a continuous learning journey.

That’s that!

P.S.: On a side note, I love survival horror video games and horror movies – because sometimes, a good scare is just what the doctor ordered! 😱🎮🍿
